Fred Meyer La Victoria Salsa deal

Great moneymaker deal on La Victoria salsa at Fred Meyers. It is on sale 2/$4, and there is a .50/1 Fred Meyer coupon--either an orange hangtag next to the product, or on the back page of the Fred Meyer January Extra Savings coupon book. Combine that Fred Meyer coupon with the La Victoria Rewards $4/2 manufacturer coupons (read about how to get these coupons here from frugallivingnw), and it's a $1 moneymaker.

I used these coupons in conjunction with the .75/1 no yolks coupon from coupons.com or redplum.com, and got 2 free bottles of salsa and 2 free bags of egg noodles.

Yummy Cherry Chocolate Cake

So I tried a new recipe/invention yesterday, and it turned out so good! Here it is:

1 box devils food chocolate cake
mix according to package directions, except swap out the water with amaretto. Add 1 small jar of drained, chopped maraschino cherries and 1 cup of mini chocolate chips.

bake as directed in a bundt pan. while still warm, frost the top of the cake with chocolate frosting--it'll melt down the sides a bit.

it's super delish and easy!

I got all this for $11.64! missing from the picture is a 32 load All laundry soap and a sunday Oregonian. The Salsa and Wheat Thins were completely free. I could have saved another 50 cents, but forgot my Kraft Singles coupon.

E-Coupons

Make sure to register your Safeway Club Card to reap the rewards of e-coupons! Safeway.com has a link on their site http://www.safeway.com/IFL/Grocery/Coupons sign up with all three: shortcuts, cellfire and P & G eSaver. load as many coupons on as you can (there's a limit of about 50, though, so if you absolutely don't need one, don't put it on your card).

New coupons are loaded about every 2 weeks and expire roughly 30 days after loading. Which means, you can have multiple coupons to combine with paper coupons for some excellent bargains!
